"너희가 순종하는 자식처럼 전에 알지 못할 때에 따르던 너희 사욕을 본받지 말고 오직 너희를 부르신 거룩한 이처럼 너희도 모든 행실에 거룩한 자가 되라 기록되었으되 내가 거룩하니 너희도 거룩할지어다 하셨느니라" 베드로전서 1:14~16

As obedient children, do not be conformed to your former lusts which were yours in your ignorance, but like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior; because it is written, "YOU SHALL BE HOLY, FOR I AM HOLY."

"너희는 유혹의 욕심을 따라 썩어져 가는 구습을 따르는 옛 사람을 벗어 버리고 오직 너희의 심령이 새롭게 되어 하나님을 따라 의와 진리의 거룩함으로 지으심을 받은 새 사람을 입으라" 에베소서 4:22~24

That, in reference to your former manner of life, you lay aside the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit, and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put the new self, which is the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.

"그리스도께서 이미 육체의 고난을 받으셨으니 너희도 같은 마음으로 갑옷을 삼으라 이는 육체의 고난을 받은 자는 죄를 그쳤음이니 그 후로는 다시 사람의 정욕을 따르지 아니하고 하나님의 뜻을 따라 육체의 남은 때를 살게 하려 함이라 너희가 음란과 정욕과 술취함과 방탕과 향락과 무법한 우상 숭배를 하여 이방인의 뜻을 따라 행한 것은 지나간 때로 족하도다" 베드로전서 4:1~3

Therefore, since Christ has suffered in the flesh, are yourselves also with the same purpose, because he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, so as to live the rest of the time in the flesh no longer for the lusts of men, but for the will of God. For the time already past is sufficient for you to have carried out the desire of the Gentiles, having pursued a course of sensuality, lusts, drunkenness, carousing, drinking parties and abominable idolatries.

"하나님의 뜻은 이것이니 너희의 거룩함이라 곧 음란을 버리고 각각 거룩함과 존귀함으로 자기의 아내 대할 줄을 알고 하나님을 모르는 이방인과 같이 색욕을 따르지 말고 이 일에 분수를 넘어서 형제를 해하지 말라 이는 우리가 너희에게 미리 말하고 증언한 것과같이 이 모든 일에 주께서 신원하여 주심이라

하나님이 우리를 부르심은 부정하게 하심이 아니요 거룩하게 하심이니 그러므로 저버리는 자는 사람을 저버림이 아니요 너희에게 그의 성령을 주신 하나님을 저버림이라" 데살로니가전서 4:3~8

For this is the will of God, your sanctification; that is, that you abstain from sexual immorality; that each of you know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in lustful passion, like the Gentiles who do not know God; and that no man transgress and defraud his brother in the matter because the Lord is the avenger in all these things, just as we also told you before and solemnly warned you.

For God has not called us for the purpose of impurity, but in santification. So, he who rejects this is not rejecting man but the God who gives His Holy Spirit to you.

"그런즉 사랑하는 자들아 이 약속을 가진 우리는 하나님을 두려워하는 가운데서 거룩함을 온전히 이루어 육과 영의 온갖 더러운 것에서 자신을 깨끗하게 하자" 고린도후서 7:1

Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

"밤이 깊고 낮이 가까웠으니 그러므로 우리가 어둠의 일을 벗고 빛의 갑옷을 입자 낮에와 같이 단정히 행하고 방탕하거나 술 취하지 말며 음란하거나 호색하지 말며 다투거나 시기하지 말고 오직 주 예수 그리스도로 옷 입고 정욕을 위하여 육신의 일을 도모하지 말라" 로마서 13:12~14

The night is almost gone, and the day is near. Therefore, let us lay aside the deeds of darkness and put the armor of light. Let us behave properly as in the day, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual promiscuity and sensuality, not in strife and jealousy, but put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh in regard to its lusts.

"망령되고 허탄한 신화를 버리고 경건에 이르도록 네 자신을 연단하라 육체의 연단은 약간의 유익이 있으나 경건은 범사에 유익하니 금생과 내생에 약속이 있느니라 미쁘다 이 말이여 모든 사람들이 받을 만하도다" 디모데전서 4:7~9

But have nothing to do with worldly fables fit only to old women. On the other hand, discipline yourself for the purpose of godliness; for bodily discipline is only of little profit, but godliness is profitable for all things, since it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come. It is trustworthy statement deserving full acceptance.

"사랑하는 자여 악한 것을 본받지 말고 선한 것을 본받으라 선을 행하는 자는 하나님께 속하고 악을 행하는 자는 하나님을 뵈옵지 못하였느니라" 요한3서 1:11

Beloved, do not imitate what is evil, but what is good. The one who does good is of God; the one who does evil has not seen God.

"그러므로 누구든지 이런 것에서 자기를 깨끗하게 하면 귀히 쓰는 그릇이 되어 거룩하고 주인의 쓰심에 합당하며 모든 선한 일에 준비함이 되리라

또한 너는 청년의 정욕을 피하고 주를 깨끗한 마음으로 부르는 자들과 함께 의와 믿음과 사랑과 화평을 따르라" 디모데후서 2:21~22

Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from these things, he will be a vessel for honor, sancitified, useful to the Master, prepared for every good work.

Now flee from youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, whith those who call on the Lorm from a pure heart.

기독교가 예수를 믿고 하나님의 말씀을 믿고 십자가의 도를 믿는 게 중심이 되야지

옛날 동양 문화권에서 공맹이나 사상가들의 글을 읽고

인간의 능력과 사상과 지혜로 이해하는 철학으로 생각하면 곤란하다.


기독교를 철학이나 단순한 종교로 생각하다 보니

기독교의 이름을 가졌지만 뭔가 이상한 주장이 생기는 것이다.
